Renault will need to find an injection of some 30 million Euros if it is to continue competing in the FIA F1 World Championship in 2010, it has been reported.

According to Bild, the Regie is considering selling a stake in its F1 team to raise the required finance. However the German newspaper adds that so far all negotiations have failed.

Meanwhile, in a related development, Turun Sanomat claims the manufacturer has been offered an undisclosed sum to sell a 40 per cent stake in its F1 operation by a 'Russian bidder'. It is believed that this could pave the way for GP2 series runner-up Vitaly Petrov to link up with Robert Kubica, who has already inked a deal for next year.

Renault is expected to make an announcement about whether or not it will continue in F1 later this month or in December.

More to follow as and when it develops...
