Sebastian Vettel honoured by German motoring organisation after successful 2009 F1 season
Sebastian Vettel has been named as the 'motorsportsman of the year' by the German motoring organisation ADAC.

Vettel was given the honour after finishing second in the F1 drivers' standings this season behind Jenson Button, winning on four occasions during the course of the year.

The award was collected on behalf of Vettel and Red Bull by head of race engineering Ian Morgan.

Vettel becomes only the second F1 driver to win the award, with the other being seven-time F1 champion Michael Schumacher.

Multiple DTM champion Bernd Schneider and WRC title winner Sebastien Loeb amongst the other past recipients.
