The British Grand Prix appears to have been saved, although an official announcement won't be made until Monday.
According to reports in the Daily Mail
an agreement was reached on Friday and last night Silverstone's PR representatives confirmed that they would 'make a statement relating to the future of Silverstone and the British Grand Prix' at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on December 7.
It is thought that the British Racing Drivers' Club and F1 boss, Bernie Ecclestone have concluded a long-term deal. However, whether everything has actually been signed and sealed is uncertain.
Indeed while the Daily Mail
headlines with 'Silverstone will
host British GP' and The Mirror
goes with 'Bernie Ecclestone saves British Grand Prix', other reports, such as that from the Press Association, suggest that talks are still on-going.
More to follow as and when it develops...
