Kamui Kobayashi will compete with the Sauber team in F1 2010, it has been reported.
Although there has been no official statement from the Swiss-based outfit, Finnish newspaper, Turun Sanomat
alleges that a deal has been reached for next season, but that there will be no confirmation until Peter Sauber has also signed his team-mate.
Kobayashi had been expected to drive for Toyota in 2010, until the Japanese manufacturer pulled the plug on its F1 programme.
The 23-year-old, who impressed many in the paddock when he stood in for the injured Timo Glock in Brazil and Abu Dhabi, has also been linked to Renault.
