Felipe Massa got the chance to test a 2007-spec Ferrari F1 car on Tuesday as he continues his preparations for a return to the sport next season.
The Brazilian, who of course missed the final eight events this year as a result of his horrific crash at the Hungarian Grand Prix back in the summer, ran at Mugello in an F2007 fitted with 'exposition' tyres and run by Ferrari's Corse Clienti department.
While conditions were not ideal and Massa only ran in the afternoon, he still managed around 30 laps, before he had to stop due to fading light.
"I'm happy that I could get into this car and it's always a pleasure driving on a track like Mugello," Massa told Ferrari's official website. "Everything went well: it's a pity that I could only drive in the afternoon. Let's hope I can be back tomorrow!"
Massa is now due to run again today [Wednesday], before flying back to Brazil to be with his family for Christmas and the New Year.
