Felipe Massa concluded his test at Mugello with a 2007-spec Ferrari F1 car on Wednesday and despite complaining of a bit of a sore neck was happy with his latest run.
Following his horrific accident at the Hungarian Grand Prix back in the summer, the Brazilian was using the test to continue his preparations for a return to the sport next season. He drove around 60 laps in total in an F2007 fitted with 'exposition' tyres and run by Ferrari's Corse Clienti department.
Unlike on Wednesday, conditions were a lot more favourable and the Brazilian was apparently satisfied by what he accomplished.
"I had a bit of neck pain, above all in the quick corners. But the rest went fine and there was no difference compared to before the accident," Massa told Reuters
"Although I was behind the wheel of a completely different car compared to the one for next year, I had a perfect feeling, which gives me hope for the upcoming season," he added on Ferrari's official website before flying back to Brazil.
"I was very quick immediately and nothing seems to have changed in my driving style compared to before the accident.
"I want to thank Ferrari for this present, which, together with my son, makes this Christmas even more special."
