Busy time ahead for Virgin

Virgin Racing and Wirth Research get set to work on hydraulic issues which plague Catalunya session
Virgin Racing and Wirth Research face a busy fortnight ahead of the 2010 F1 season opener in Bahrain after running into further hydraulic issues in Barcelona.

The team had been hit by the issue throughout the previous test at Jerez but had hoped to solve the issue in time for the four-day session at Catalunya.

However, the hydraulic problems again returned in the final pre-season test of the year as Virgin failed to match the mileage of its rivals, with the team now set to work hard to fix the issue in time for its debut race.

“We have new components designed to fix this issue on their way for the Bahrain race and we're looking forward to putting that particular story behind us,” technical director Nick Wirth said. “We leave Barcelona having never run a qualifying simulation or the super soft tyres that all our competitors are likely to have set their times on.

“Now both Virgin Racing and Wirth Research have a busy two weeks preparing both race cars and spares for our debut in Bahrain.”

The car does look great without the livery- my mate visited the factory when it was still Manor and walked around the 'virtual car' in a room wearing those special goggles- wish I could have gone too :-o

Re: nabawan - urrr no - I admire cars for their shape not their colour - a db9 could be painted fuschia pink with green spots and it'd still be the best looking car on the road
