The Renault F1 team has released the first picture of its F1 2010 challenger, the R30, featuring Lada branding.

News of the agreement broke earlier this week [see separate story - click here]. However it wasn't until today that the Enstone-based operation put out its own statement about the 'co-operation', which will see branding from Lada, Russia's leading automotive marque, feature on the chassis of the Renault R30 race cars during the F1 2010 season.

"We are proud to announce this new agreement, which marks another important step for the Renault F1 Team and Formula 1 in Russia," commented Renault F1 Team chairman Gerard Lopez.

"Through Mangrove Capital we have been actively investing in Russia over the last years. We know the country well, we have a high degree of appreciation for it and, as such, it is an honour for our F1 team to spearhead Russia's entry into the sport and to carry the Lada brand at the highest level of world motorsport. We look forward to an exciting and successful season together."

The deal was formally signed in Moscow on Monday - and as part of it Lada branding will also appear on the overalls and team uniform of Vitaly Petrov, who will make history this year as the first ever Russian F1 driver.
