The Formula One Teams Association has announced that it will show support for the FIA's Make Roads Safe campaign from next weekend's Australian Grand Prix.

From the Albert Park race onwards, the teams will carry the Make Roads Safe logo on their cars to show full support for the campaign led by the FIA and FIA Foundation.

"FOTA applauds the FIA and the FIA Foundation for this excellent initiative, whose impact in terms of lives saved globally is and will continue to be considerable," a brief missive from the teams read.

"FOTA and its member teams are hopeful that, via the powerful and unique initiative of each and every Formula 1 car carrying uniform 'Make Roads Safe' branding, awareness of this excellent initiative will be communicated to the hundreds of millions of Formula 1 fans all around the world."
