Schumacher just makes it through

No surprises in Q2 as all the remaining big names make it into the next session.
Michael Schumacher just made it through to the top-ten shoot-out after finishing Q2 in Malaysia in tenth and on the cusp.

Renault's Vitaly Petrov was just outside in eleventh with Pedro de la Rosa, and the Toro Rosso's of Sebastien Buemi and Jaime Alguersuari also not making the cut in 12th, 13th and 14th.

Timo Glock and Heikki Kovalainen will line up 15th and 16th, as Virgin and Lotus both benefited from the chaos in Q1 to make it through to the second session for the first time.

McLaren's Jenson Button will start 17th. He made it into Q2, but went off in Q1 and as a result was not allowed to take part.

Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel set the pace, with Robert Kubica claiming second spot ahead of Adrian Sutil and Nico Hulkenberg. Nico Rosberg and Kaumi Kobayashi will also feature in the battle for pole, along with Mark Webber, Vitantonio Liuzzi, Rubens Barrichello and Michael Schumacher.

More to follow after Q3...

so Schumacher places 8th and the so-called BIGGGGGG! NAMES are at the back of the grid and Schumacher should give it up? Ain't gonna happen he'll continue racing while you continue to get flustered. Him racing has jack to do with what you want it's all about what Schumacher wants. Bunchacrybabies.
