Briatore in Italian fraud probe

Flavio Briatore finds himself as the centre of an Italian tax probe
Former Renault team boss Flavio Briatore has found himself in more trouble after his multi-million pound yacht was seized by Italian police as part of a fraud investigation.

Force Blue was seized off the Italian Riviera as part of an investigation by customs authorities in Genoa who are looking into the status of the yacht as a vessel for hire.

According to reports, Briatore claims to offer the vessel for hire at a rate of £240,000 a week but with it registered in the Cayman Isles, he is entitled to a heft tax break.

Prosecutors in Genoa are disputing that fact that the vessel is for hire and claim that Briatore lives on the yacht for long periods and as a result, he could face a fine if improper use and VAT evasion is proved.

Richard@ its a pretty huge tax evasion- the boat is registered in the Cayman islands to avoid tax yet he's refueling in the EU illegally and waltzing around the med. He thinks his friendship with the PM still gives him immunity... WRONG
