Hamilton on pole in Canada

McLaren's Lewis Hamilton grabs late pole for Sunday's Canadian Grand Prix at Montreal's Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
Lewis Hamilton ended Red Bull Racing's run of poles today in Canada and put his McLaren in P1 for Sunday's race at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

Hamilton set his best lap - a 1 minute 15.105 seconds - right at the end of Q3 to pip Mark Webber's RB6. Lewis however was unable to drive back to the pits due to a lack of fuel and had to stop out on track. It remains to be seen if this will lead to problems with the stewards.

Sebastian Vettel meanwhile was third - and like Webber he ran on the harder tyre, followed by Fernando Alonso's Ferrari in P4 and reigning world champion, Jenson Button in fifth.

Vitantonio Liuzzi, Felipe Massa, Robert Kubica, Adrian Sutil and Nico Rosberg filled the remaining places in 6 through to 10 respectively.
