Britain's Lewis Hamilton remains in the lead in the battle for the F1 2010 drivers' championship following his runners-up spot finish in Valencia.
Hamilton now has 127 points, extending his advantage over his McLaren team-mate, Jenson Button, who is his nearest rival, from three points post-Canada to six ahead of next month's trip to Silverstone.
Sebastian Vettel moves up to third in the standings after his second win of the year, ahead of Mark Webber, who scored nil after crashing out in spectacular style after an unfortunate incident with Heikki Kovalainen. Fernando Alonso lies fifth.
In the Constructors' championship, McLaren increases its lead over Red Bull Racing and now has a 30-point cushion.
