Senna re-instated - from German GP onwards

OFFICIAL: Bruno Senna to resume driving for Hispania from the German Grand Prix.
F1 2010 rookie Bruno Senna will drive for Hispania Racing again this season, the Spanish team confirmed on Friday.

Yesterday it was announced that Sakon Yamamoto would stand in for the Brazilian at this weekend's British Grand Prix [see separate story - click here]. However, it wasn't clear if this was a permanent change.

HRT has now been revealed that it will only be a one-off and that Senna will take part in all the remaining races in the F1 2010 championship, getting back behind the wheel at the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim in two weeks time.

"The team wants to confirm that Bruno Senna has all the support of the Spanish team, that he remains one of the Hispania Racing HRT F1 team's official drivers and that he will be continuing to drive in the remaining races," read a team statement. "[But] HRT has decided to give an opportunity to... Sakon Yamamoto for this race."

Rumours suggest money is the root-cause of the change for Silverstone, with claims that a lack of sponsorship has forced the financially-struggling Murcia-based operation to replace the young Brazilian, albeit only for one-race - at least at this stage anyway.

A total farce! Silverstone would have been Bruno's best circuit of the season having loads of experience of the circuit in F3, GP2 and F1 (when he tested for Honda at the back end of 2009). So to replace him here this weekend is beyond a joke! Sakon 1.3s slower than Karun today.......exactly, rubbish! Bruno, get yourself out of there and start looking for a car and team worthy of your talent.
