Lotus Racing has confirmed that third driver Fairuz Fauzy will be back in one of its T127s for free practice at this weekend's German Grand Prix.

The Malaysian had already been confirmed to drive in FP1 at the British, Hungarian, Singapore and Abu Dhabi races but, after mechanical issues cut short his run at Silverstone, the team decided to bring forward his Hungary run to Germany. This gives Fauzy the chance to bring another valuable perspective to the team's on-track development as soon as possible, and on a track that should suit the T127.

"It's an exciting day for all of us in the Lotus Racing team - being able to tell Fairuz he has another Friday run a week before he thought he'd be back in the car is a great way to start the week, and we all know he'll deliver for us, both on track and in the feedback he'll provide the team," Lotus Racing team principal Tony Fernandes commented, "He's an inspiration to young drivers around the world, proving that being determined to make your dreams come true can make very exciting things happen!"
