Michael Schumacher has been back in action on two-wheels after hitting the track at the Sachsenring earlier this week.

The Mercedes driver was forced to curtail plans to make an F1 comeback with Ferrari last season after falling from a motorbike during testing at Cartagena earlier in the year; with the injuries he sustained being enough - at the time - to prevent him from replacing Felipe Massa.

A Mercedes spokesperson confirmed that Schumacher hit the track in his native Germany earlier this week on-board a KTM before making the trip to Singapore for his first outing in the annual F1 night race.

Speculation continues to surround Schumacher's possible F1 future after a difficult season in 2010, but it would appear unlikely that two-wheels would be his preferred option should he retire for a second time.
