Red Bull Racing's Mark Webber has extended his lead in the battle for the F1 2010 drivers' championship, after finishing second in the Japanese Grand Prix today.

Webber now has 220 points on the board, 14 more than his nearest challengers. Fernando Alonso stays second, although he now has exactly the same amount of points as Sebastian Vettel, who took his third win of the season at Suzuka. Alonso keeps P2 though courtesy of his four wins to Vettel's three.

Lewis Hamilton meanwhile drops to fourth, 14 points further back, after another trying weekend, while defending champion Jenson Button is fifth, 3 points behind his McLaren colleague.
