New reports link HRT to Toyota

New rumours echo those from the summer, as Auto Motor und Sport reports HRT will utilise the 'expertise, equipment and facilities' of Toyota in 2011.
There has been fresh speculation in recent days that Hispania Racing has purchased the assets of the former Toyota F1 team.

Reports in Auto Motor und Sport state that 'reliable sources' indicate that the Spanish team has done a deal to buy all the 'expertise, equipment and facilities' of the Cologne-based operation relating to the unraced TF110. The theory goes that this explains why Pirelli has had to use Toyota's 2009 F1 car for its tyre test programme.

However if it all sounds familiar, it is because a very similar rumour broke back in the summer [see separate story - click here]. Then it was claimed a deal was imminent and would be signed within a matter of days – that though was in July, more than three months ago...

This whole team is a mystery to me - They sell themselves as Spanish - but are apparently based in Germany. They spend nothing at all on developing the car but can afford to buy the Toyota set-up. They want to finish high up - but don't run Klein and keep Yamamoto in. Just bizarre....

HRT is a weird team. It's team with a revolving door. I'm not sure how great Colin Kolles is as a Principle. He doesn't have much in ways of running a racing team and the teams he has run have mostly fell through. HRT need a strong racing hand and get rid of Kolles IMHO. I don't understand where the $ is going. WE all know Sakon is a pay driver, but he for sure isn't there on talent. With this influx of $, why isn't there any development? I think Bruno, Klien, and Karun should find new homes. Racing for HRT is hurting them more then helping.
