Vettel wins in Abu Dhabi and secures F1 2010 drivers’ title

Sebastian Vettel comes through to win the race in Abu Dhabi and secure the F1 2010 drivers' championship.

Red Bull Racing's Sebastian Vettel came through to win the race in Abu Dhabi today and in the process secure the F1 2010 world drivers' championship.

Vettel, who started from pole, led pretty much throughout and he eventually finished around 10 seconds up on Lewis Hamilton. Fernando Alonso and Mark Webber - the other two championship contenders - both had poor races, and an ill judged strategy for the former left him stuck behind Renault's Vitaly Petrov following his pit stop on lap 16. Petrov finished sixth, with Alonso seventh and Webber eighth.

Jenson Button meanwhile completed the podium, with Nico Rosberg fourth and Robert Kubica fifth, just ahead of his Russian team-mate. Jaime Alguersuari and Felipe Massa rounded out the points scorers.

I'm a big FA fan but really, giving Petrov the bird? It's your fault you couldn't get by him. What did you expect, he would just let you pass? You should be upset with the team if anything for the pit strategy.
