Hispania completes Abu Dhabi test line-up

Josef Kral and Davide Valsecchi will test for Hispania Racing this week in Abu Dhabi
Hispania Racing has completed its line-up for this week's Young Driver Test in Abu Dhabi with the news that it will run both Josef Kral and Davide Valsecchi on the second day of the two-day session.

As previously confirmed, GP2 title winner Pastor Maldonado will appear on track for the first day of the test as he samples F1 machinery for the first time since 2004 before fellow GP2 racers Kral and Valsecchi share the driving on Wednesday.

Czech driver Kral only returned to action in Abu Dhabi at the weekend having been sidelined with a back injury following an accident at Valencia earlier in the year, while Valsecchi – athe reigning GP2 Asia champion - ended his main series campaign with victory in the final race of the year.

“We have followed Josef Kral's career for many years and we are always in search of young and talented drivers,” Hispania team boss Colin Kolles said. “After Josef's accident in Valencia, he had a great comeback in Abu Dhabi and we have high hopes in his performance.

“Davide Valsecchi is one of the young and talented drivers and he is the current GP2 Asia Champion. We are looking forward to see his development in a Formula 1 car and we are happy to give Davide and Josef the opportunity to drive in a Formula 1 car.

“Having two GP2 champions like Pastor Maldonado and Davide Valsecchi in our car makes us very proud.”
