The 2010 circuit changes have also enabled Silverstone to create new viewing areas for general admission ticket holders and, in 2011, fans will be able to gain access to the inside of the Brooklands/Priory Complex, where enhanced, trackside views will be available.
“The 2010 F1 season has reignited people's passion for the sport," Phillips commented, "We are already looking forward to 2011 and another exciting season, and interest in the British Grand Prix
has been high, with tickets selling well. There are still plenty of tickets available, but some of the more popular grandstands have already sold out, including International Pits Straight and one or two sections in the Copse and Stowe grandstands.
“The drivers and teams will be based in our new pit and paddock complex for next year's British Grand Prix, and the grandstands around that section of the circuit are being elevated and repositioned to offer prime views of the start-finish straight and pits, so fans have been quick to purchase their tickets in those areas.
“Changes to the circuit and moving the F1 paddock have also given us an opportunity to rethink some of the viewing areas for general admission ticket holders. For 2011, we will be opening up the inside of the Brooklands/Priory Complex, creating new spectator areas and getting fans much closer to the track.”
Three-day grandstand tickets are available from £199, compared to £230 in 2010.
