F1 curfew confirmed for 2010

Overnighters to be thing of past under new F1 2011 Sporting Regulations.

Mechanics working in the FIA Formula One World Championship will be subjected to new restrictions from 2011, it has been decided.

Under the F1 2011 Sporting Regulations, which were published by the FIA this week, working hours have been limited.

This will mean overnighters are no longer permissible, although each team will be allowed four exceptions.

“No team personnel who are associated in any way with the operation of the cars are permitted within the confines of the circuit during two six hour periods which commence ten hours before the scheduled start times of P1 and P3,” the FIA said under the heading 'General Safety'.

“However, each team will be permitted four individual exceptions to the above during a season.”

F1 is going from bad to worse, it is fast becoming a beaureucratic nightmare with all these rules and regulations. Give it a rest already! No testing, no working on the car, no nothing! At this rate by next year free practice on fridays will be cancelled, the year after on saturdays, then the year after that qualifying will be banned and grid positions will be sorted using last race's position, and then in 5 years racing will be banned and all will be decided with drivers playing Gran Turismo on a PS3. Seriously, this is fecking madness.

Will the Fia also be telling the mechanics what time they can go to the toilet to. To much interferance from the FIA nowadays me thinks. Also check the small print were it says Ferrari are exempt from these restrictions.
