Alguersuari going nowhere

Jaime Alguersuari reiterates that he will be with Toro Rosso for the 2011 F1 season
Jaime Alguersuari insists that his deal to stay with Toro Rosso for the 2011 F1 season is '100 per cent' agreed with the Spaniard insisting he has no idea why the entry list published by the FIA doesn't confirm the fact.

Despite saying that both Alguersuari and team-mate Sebastien Buemi would be retained, Toro Rosso failed to name either driver on the entry list which fuelled speculation that a change could occur for the 2011 campaign.

Alguersuari however insists that the deal is done and dusted and he will return for a second full season with his aim being to build on an encouraging first full year in 2010.

"I am with Toro Rosso, for sure,” he told Marca. “I don't know why people are playing this game - I am in Formula One, 100 per cent.

"I want to keep doing the work we have been doing and above all to finish seventh or eighth in the constructors' championship. The team and I gave everything this year. We didn't have the car for any more. On a personal level I'm happy with myself and I hope that in 2011 we can keep improving."

Alguersuari added that he is keen to make a move up to the Red Bull Racing team within the next two years although he concedes that it will 'depend on how next season goes'.

If Torro Rosso were smart they would keep Alguersuari and put Ricciardo in the other car. Buemi has had 2 full seasons and done nothing. Buemi struggled to make Q2 on so many occasions this year. Its time to blood someone else.
