Sir Richard Branson may have to delay taking on the role of an air steward on an AirAsia flight after sustaining an injury while skiing.
Branson had been due to set to take up the challenge on a flight from London to Kuala Lumpur on February 21 after losing his bet with Team Lotus boss Tony Fernandes.
The pair had set a wager at the start of last season over which of their teams would end their first year at the pinnacle of the sport in the higher championship position. With Lotus securing tenth ahead of Virgin Racing, Branson lost.
The plan had been to sell seats on the flight in an online auction, with the money raised donated to charity. However, Branson's latest mishap while skiing may force it to be postponed.
"Update on Richard Branson flight," Fernandes said via social networking site Twitter today.
"May be a delay as Richard injured himself skiing. Will call him today. So that's why no announcement yet."
