Fernandes 'happy' with initial Lotus court ruling

Fernandes' team, meanwhile, is pushing on with its construction programme ahead of the first pre-season test next month. Chief technical officer Mike Gascoyne, another prolific Twitter user, used his personal feed to report that the team's first car was gradually edging towards completion.

"Chassi [sic] 1 car build started yesterday, hoping to fire engine up tomorrow evening or Wednesday morning," he revealed, "Lots to do, but exciting times. Jarno and Heikki also in the factory today and tomorrow for seat fittings etc, good to have them around."

Although little in terms of detail and design were given away, Gascoyne's update also links to images from the Hingham factory, with more promised as the car build progresses.
