Liuzzi seeking Hispania deal?

Tonio Liuzzi reportedly opens discussions with Hispania Racing about potential F1 drive
Media reports in Spain have suggested that Tonio Liuzzi's management has made contract with Hispania Racing about the only vacancy remaining on the 2011 F1 grid.

Liuzzi found himself without a drive with Force India for the new season, despite having a contract in place, after the team confirmed that Paul di Resta would be promoted into a race seat for 2011 alongside Adrian Sutil, with Nico Hulkenberg taking on the role of test and reserve driver.

That announcement came despite the BBC reporting that a deal to release Liuzzi from his contract with the Silverstone-based squad had yet to be finalised.

Liuzzi's departure from Force India has yet him with limited options to stay in the F1 paddock, with Hispania now the only team yet to finalise its two race drivers.

According to the Spanish 'paper AS, Liuzzi's manager Peter Collins has revealed that 'contacts exist' with the team as the Italian looks to salvage his F1 career, with the report suggesting the Collins is currently working to secure the budget Liuzzi would need to take the drive – with the possibility that a pay-off from Force India could go some way towards taking the seat.

Hispania hasn't yet revealed if it will field two drivers in the Valencia test next week, where Narain Karthikeyan will turn his first laps for the team at the wheel of its 2010 car as work continues on the F111.
