Hispania Racing's Narain Karthikeyan has revealed that the handling of the teams F1 2010 car wasn't as bad as he thought it would be.
Karthikeyan, who has been in the F1 wilderness ever since his spell as a test driver with Williams
in 2007, tested at Valencia earlier this month with the FF110 and he is due to get more running in it this week, first at Monza as part of a filming session for Pirelli, before then heading to Barcelona for the third group test of the year.
“It was said that the old HRT car was particularly difficult to drive,” Karthikeyan told Auto Motor und Sport
. “I would not say it is easy, but it is not a disaster either. I got use to it quickly at the first test. It ran well.”
Meanwhile, Karthikeyan insisted that his deal with the Spanish team will see him take in all the events in 2011.
“The plan is to contest all the grand's prix. That is fixed. I am naturally looking forward to the Indian Grand Prix
[my home race]. I hope with the new FF111 we can make a step forward,” he added.
