Tonio Liuzzi is set to test for the Hispania Racing team this weekend in Spain as he works to secure a future in F1.

The Italian found himself dropped by Force India in favour of Paul di Resta despite having a contract in place for 2011, with the late nature of that announcement leaving him with limited options elsewhere on the grid.

Having been overlooked as a possible replacement for the injured Robert Kubica at Renault, Liuzzi will now try out Hispania's 2010-spec car in Barcelona despite talk that he didn't have the budget needed to secure a drive alongside Narain Karthikeyan.

Although Italiaracing confirms the news, Spanish website virutasf1.com is quick to point out that the test is 'no indication' that Liuzzi will be signed to drive for the team this season.
