Jordan backing Red Bull

Eddie Jordan: I don't think Lewis [Hamilton] and Jenson [Button] need to be looking at each other. They need to be looking at the Red Bull because that car, in my opinion, seems to have improved in speed and aerodynamics.
BBC F1 pundit Eddie Jordan believes Red Bull Racing will again be the team to beat this year.

The Milton Keynes-based outfit managed to do the double last season and EJ reckons the Adrian Newey-designed RB7 could be just a formidable in F1 2011, great news for defending champion, Sebastian Vettel and his team-mate, Mark Webber, but not so good for the likes of McLaren and Ferrari.

"I don't think Lewis [Hamilton] and Jenson [Button] need to be looking at each other,” Jordan told sportingo.com. “They need to be looking at the Red Bull because that car, in my opinion, seems to have improved in speed and aerodynamics.

“That team has got themselves in the enviable where all the other teams are looking as to how they can possibly catch up.

“It's always difficult because when you say things like that, you are doing it in darkness.

“The reason I say that is that we haven't a clue what the tyres are going to do, we certainly don't know what the adjustable rear wing is going to do and, of course, we don't know what the KERS will do. So, with all that energy that's brought into the car, making overtaking possible, let's hope it gives people the joy of watching cars passing each other,” Jordan concluded.
