Schumacher satisfied with race simulation

Michael Schumacher completes a successful race simulation on the opening day of F1 testing in Barcelona
Michael Schumacher declared himself satisfied with a successful race simulation on the opening day of the latest F1 test session in Barcelona.

The German driver completed a series of aerodynamic evaluations and balance checks during the morning while the circuit was damp, before Mercedes switched to a full race simulation during the afternoon.

In total, Schumacher was able to complete 90 laps at the wheel of the W02 and ended day one of the test with the eighth fastest time.

"We had a good day and it is certainly satisfying to finish a race distance with all of the systems operational and to have everything working fine,” he said. “Now we have to turn our focus to performance and it was important to complete today's simulation to understand how the car and tyres behave going from a heavy to lighter fuel load."

Race distance testing, that's what we like to hear!.That is what tests are all about, how will the car perform for 90+laps. If the Maestro is satisfied then Schumi fans are satisfied. GO SCHUMI GO.
