Prost signs with Gravity

Nicolas Prost signs a deal with Gravity Management which will include F1 demo runs at Renault World Series events
Two of the most evocative names in F1 are set to be connected again in 2011 after Gravity Management announced the signing of Nicolas Prost, son of four-time title winner Alain.

The 29-year-old joins the sister organisation of the Lotus Renault GP team that counts Bruno Senna amongst its drivers, bringing the two famous names back together for the first time in an F1 sense since Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna competed against each other for the final time in the 1993 season finale in Adelaide.

Prost's new role will see him dovetail his commitments in the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup with the Rebellion Racing team with a series of demonstration runs in Renault F1 colours during Renault World Series events during the year ahead.

“I'm thrilled to have signed up with Gravity Sports Management,” Prost said. “I have a busy year ahead and the pace is already heating up for the start of the ILMC season out here in Sebring. Our pace looked good during the test at Paul Ricard so we'll really hope to make the most of that this weekend.

“I'm also looking forward to the chance to drive the Lotus Renault F1 car during the year. It will be great to get another taste for the very latest top-of-the-range machinery, after the run I did with Renault F1 Team in Magny Cours last year. After all, it's fair to say I have Formula One in my blood.”

Agreed Shrieker, those eyes don't look like a 29 year old's! We saw a similar thing with Bruno Senna last year - the combination of the Senna eyes under a yellow helmet was enough to leave Martin Brundle speechless for a moment at the first race.
