Ferrari mechanic rushed to hospital

Team principal Stefano Domenicali reveals that one of his mechanics suffered aneurism during early part of Chinese GP weekend.
The Ferrari team revealed that it may have been preoccupied by other things during day two of the Chinese Grand Prix, following an announcement that one of its squad had been rushed to hospital.

While not attempting to find additional excuses for another disappointing qualifying performance which sees Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa line up only fifth and sixth at the Shanghai International Circuit, the Scuderia disclosed that mechanic Paolo Santarsiero had undergone emergency surgery during the weekend.

"I want to express our delight at the positive progress in the condition of Paolo Santarsiero, one of our mechanics who fell ill on Thursday with an aneurism in his head," team principal Stefano Domenicali confirmed in an official statement, "I wish to thank the entire medical team who acted so promptly and efficiently in carrying out the procedure. Incidents like this make one realise what the priorities really are in life and put everything else into perspective."
