POLL: Should 2011 Bahrain GP be rescheduled?

Bernie Ecclestone's response to being urged not to allow the cancelled Bahrain GP back onto the F1 2011 calendar has been to give organisers more time - but do you think the race should be reinstated..?
We are just three days away from the initial deadline given to Bahrain Grand Prix organisers by the FIA to determine whether or not they are in a position to welcome F1 later this year – but should the race be allowed to be rescheduled?

Originally slated as the F1 2011 World Championship curtain-raiser – with all of the accompanying suspense and prestige – the Bahrain Grand Prix at Sakhir was postponed, or potentially cancelled, following the outbreak of anti-government protests in the desert kingdom and the ruling family's inability to guarantee that this would not impact upon the grand prix or threaten the safety of the F1 community or race-goers.

Since then, reports have varied as to the severity of the situation in the tiny island-state, but what is indisputable is that 30 people have died since the widespread turmoil began two-and-a-half months ago, and there appears to be no end to the civil unrest yet in sight.

Pro-democracy activists have called upon the sport's influential commercial rights-holder Bernie Ecclestone to punish Bahraini rulers by refusing to allow the grand prix to be moved to a different slot later on in the season – most likely in-between the outings in Abu Dhabi and Brazil – until 'basic human rights are restored and the repression is over' [see separate story – click here].

Now, the latest development is that the Formula One Management (FOM) chief executive has called for an extension to the deadline, reasoning that 'we need to wait a little bit to see exactly how progress is made' and hinting at a new decision date of 'early June' [see separate story – click here].

So what do you think – should Bahrain be repositioned on the F1 2011 calendar later on in the campaign, or in your eyes, should there be no second chances this year..?

NO do not reschedule it, in fact a better idea would be to bulldoze the place and be done with it. Fact is it's the dullest venue on the calendar i've never even seen a single fan in the crowd, the government is a crock and needs to be rolled ASAP. Fact is theres 20 other venues that would be better than Bahrain, we have what looks like a fantastic season in store so why not add to it with another track!
