Vettel: Red Bull can't relax

Sebastian Vettel says Red Bull can't afford to relax when F1 returns in Turkey next weekend
Sebastian Vettel has warned his Red Bull team not to take anything for granted when the F1 season resumes next weekend in Turkey.

The team currently leads both championships after Vettel won two of the opening three races and heads to Istanbul keen to build on a strong start to his title defence; which has also seen him secure pole for every race so far this year.

Qualifying in particular has been dominated by the new RB7 although Lewis Hamilton's victory for McLaren in China showed that the car can be beaten in a race, leaving Vettel well aware that the Red Bull can't afford to relax.

“Turkey is a hard track on tyres and it's usually quite hot there – but I especially like the place as it's where I had my first F1 test drive,” he said. “Our car should be strong there, but of course we have to respect our competitors and can never take anything for granted.

“People are pushing hard, but we are pushing very hard too to maintain our strengths."

As well as being the scene of Vettel's first F1 outing, Istanbul is also the location of one of the most challenging corners in F1 and the defending champion admitted that turn eight was one of the best on the calendar.

“I like the Turkish circuit, it has all types of corners, slow and fast, like turn eight,” he said. “It's an awesome corner, we try to take it flat year by year. It's fast and extremely bumpy, so you can hardly see where you're going – you turn in and hope for the best.”

I am sure that everyone remembers the collision between Webber and Vettel last year in Turkey. We will see a fierce battle again because Webber can't afford another race with Vettel finishing ahead of him.It happened in all three races this season so Webber will try to take his first victory of the season here.Although I think Vettel is still the favourite to take victory in this race,I hope that his rivals makes it as difficult possible for him.I hope too that Ferrari manages to close the gap with the leading teams,so the triumvirate(Red Bull,McLaren,Ferrari) rejoin the fierce battle of the last year season.
