An investigation into the rally accident that left Robert Kubica seriously injured has cleared the Pole of any wrongdoing.

Prosecutors has looked into the incident during the Ronde di Andora Rally in Italy, where Kubica crashed into an Armco barrier which then penetrated the cockpit of his S2000-spec Skoda Fabia.

It left Kubica with multiple injuries and he underwent numerous operations before being released from hospital last week.

In total, Kubica spent 76 days in the Santa Corona hospital before being released to continue his recovery, but both driver and his rally team have now been cleared over any blame over the incident.
