Ferrari has been forced to change to its older-spec rear wing after the FIA deemed that the part used in Friday practice was in breach of the regulations.

The governing body announced it was to look at the part on Friday evening as questions were raised about flap extensions on the part.

Ferrari had tried to exploit a loophole in the rules relating to the slot gap regulator in order to extend the height of the rear wing.

However, the FIA has now deemed the part of be outside the rules and forced Ferrari to switch to the wing that was used by Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa during the Turkish Grand Prix.
