Ferrari chief targets more wins

Ferrari keen to add to its Silverstone success through the remainder of 2011
Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo has said that he expects the team to add to its victory tally through the second half of the F1 season.

So far in 2011, Ferrari has just one victory to its name thanks to Fernando Alonso at Silverstone although the Spaniard has taken podium finishes in five of the last six races.

Having met with team principal Stefano Domenicali, technical director Pat Fry and engine chief Luca Marmorini, di Montezemolo said he was sure that Ferrari will win again before the end of the season with a range of improvements still planned for the 150° Italia before focus turns to next year.

“I can see the right spirit in the team after a very difficult start to the season,” he said. “Domenicali and his crew seem very determined, concentrating fully on their tasks for the second part of the year which I am sure will feature Ferrari in the role of a key player.

“I expect we will pick up wins to add to the important and historically very significant victory achieved at Silverstone.”

Ferrari will shortly cease work on the 150° Italia for the summer break before finalising the update package planned for Spa.

They have been pushing development on this years car as they did last year.. Finally the push in 2010 made them loose in 2011 season start.... Other than Pride i think they can't achieve anything much this year as both the championships are realistically out of reach.

two races on the podium in relatively cooler conditions. Spa could provide similar conditions, pat fry has been systematically incorporting a better understanding of the tyres into the performance of the car, if they improve again they will win
