F1 2011 rookie Sergio Perez believes he will be better both on and off the track next season.
Perez has notched up two points finishes to date, after having finished ninth in Spain and seventh more recently in Britain. However speaking in an interview on James Allen's official site, the Mexican reiterated that his scary crash in Monaco really did take the wind out of his sails.
“Unfortunately my accident didn't help at all because I lost some momentum and to get back in the rhythm as a racing driver was difficult after such a big impact with the head,” he explained.
“It was a very big accident, could have ended my career there. I missed two races where the team scored points [Monaco and Montreal], circuits which suited us quite well. I lost some points and some rhythm.
“I think I'll be a lot stronger next season [though], not only on the track but off the track too. When you come into F1 it's a different world and as a young driver it takes time to adapt.
“You have a lot to deal with, F1 is a lot more of everything,” summed-up the 2010 GP2 Series runner-up.
