Just four rounds remain in F1 2011 after the Japanese Grand Prix, where the championship title was won and where one man maintained his recent run of strong form with a fifth straight trip to the podium...

The Suzuka race is one of the most popular of the season and took on added significance this year given it was the first time F1 had visited the country following the devastating earthquake and tsunami earlier in the year.

Jenson Button:
Had to win to keep his title hopes alive and duly ended up on the top step of the podium, even if it wasn't enough to deny Sebastian Vettel the championship crown. Another podium for the form man on the grid.

Fernando Alonso:
Ferrari had suggested it was behind Red Bull and McLaren on pace having turned focus towards 2012 but Alonso was still able to secure his place on the second step of the podium to keep the pressure on Button in the title race.
