Adrian Sutil has said he wants to sort his future with the Force India team sooner rather than later and isn't prepared to wait until December to discover if he will have a drive next season.

The German has driven for the Silverstone-based team in its various guises since making his F1 debut and currently sits eleventh in the championship standings this season with a best finish of sixth in Germany back in July.

Despite both Sutil and team-mate Paul di Resta producing a series of strong performances this season, team boss Vijay Mallya has so far refused to confirm either in a seat for 2012, insisting that he wouldn't make a decision on who will be at the wheel of the two cars until the current season comes to an end.

However, with speculation that test driver Nico Hulkenberg is being lined up for a race seat with Force India next year, Sutil said he was keen to speak to Mallya to find out what his future holds.

"I can't wait until December," he was quoted by ESPNF1. "I will speak to him [Mallya] very soon and see what his ideas are.

"I don't need to wait so long for a seat. I think I know what I can do, so I don't feel so insecure."
