Red Bull team boss Christian Horner was quick to praise Sebastian Vettel for an 'inch perfect' performance in the Indian Grand Prix after the F1 title winner clinched his eleventh win of the year at the Buddh International Circuit.

The German secured pole position for the race, led every lap and posted the fastest lap en-route to one of his most dominant victories of the season and is now just two wins away from a place inside the all-time top ten of F1 victories.

"A brilliant result for the team to win the first ever Indian Grand Prix," Horner admitted after seeing his driver Sebastian was inch perfect today and drove an immaculate race with great strategy, good pit work and everything came right for him.

"Despite a lot of encouragement not to, he still managed to set another fastest lap on his final lap of the race."

Vettel's performance, which marked his first 'perfect' weekend of his F1 career, also drew praise from Renault's Cyril Dumont.

"I think again we had a magic Vettel this weekend," he said. "He did the first hat trick of his career - fastest lap, pole position and winning the race. I think he was on top of his game today and led the race from start to finish. I would also liked to have seen Mark on the podium today; I think he had the pace for that, but unfortunately the race was not that easy for him. I think it's a fantastic result for the Renault Group also, to get the win at the first Indian Grand Prix is very important."
