Kevin Ceccon will link up with Stefano Coletti and test with Scuderia Toro Rosso in the F1 young driver test in Abu Dhabi later this month, it has been confirmed.

Ceccon, who this year won the Under-21 category of the Auto GP Championship before going on to take the overall title in the same series, also ran in the GP2 Series, the youngest driver ever to do so, competing in a number of events with Coloni.

Ceccon and Coletti will ran for a day and a half each during the three-day test from November 15-17, with the former on track on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon.

"It's unbelievable how this year in Auto GP changed my life," said Ceccon. "In just one year I passed from F3 to winning both Auto GP titles, debuting in GP2 and fulfilling the dream of driving an F1 car with a competitive team as Toro Rosso. I wasn't even thinking about this until some days ago and it feels like a dream, but I'm fully aware that even after such an amazing year I'm just at the beginning of my path.

"I have a lot to learn, and this will be my attitude for this test, aiming to gather as much experience as possible from this great opportunity and hoping to boast a very good performance at the same time."

"Scuderia Toro Rosso is well used to training young drivers and we are pleased to add Coletti and Ceccon to the list of students who have been through the Scuderia Toro Rosso school," added Toro Rosso team principal Franz Tost.

"Neither of them is part of the Red Bull Young Driver Programme, which is down to the fact that those drivers currently on the programme are still too young and inexperienced to deal with a F1 car."
