Charouz to test with HRT

Jan Charouz to test with HRT as well as Renault in Abu Dhabi
Czech driver Jan Charouz is to test with HRT today [Wednesday] during the second day of the F1 Young Driver Test in Abu Dhabi.

Charouz, who is also slated to test with Renault later in the week thanks to his role as a reserve driver with the Enstone-backed team, will share HRT's F111 with Nathanael Berthon, who was confirmed as part of the test line-up on Tuesday.

Charouz has raced in a variety of series' in the past, including the Renault World Series, A1GP and the Le Mans Series.

“Although it is not my first time in a Formula 1 car, it will no doubt be a new and interesting experience since it is the first time I drive the current car,” he said. “It will also be the first time I test the new Pirelli tyres. I have driven with this brand's tyres in other categories but surely the performance and behaviour of the PZero will be surprising.

“It will be a great opportunity and I thank HRT for giving me the chance to test with them.”

Based on his results in Renault 3.5 series. He has got this drive because of money and nothing else. Not that HRT is very exciting :-P.
