Live ROC coverage set for F1 stars

F1 stars will once again receive the live treatment during this weekend's highly anticipated Race of Champions event from Dusseldorf's Esprit Arena, courtesy of Motors TV.
Motorsport's current crop of royalty will once again assemble at this weekend's Race of Champions event at Dusseldorf's Esprit Arena. The event as usual takes its traditional slot at the end of the motorsport calendar and in front of our television screens during the Christmas build up.

Like last year, Motors TV will provide the motorsport community with live coverage of the much loved and highly successful event.

This year's instalment should prove to be no less exciting than the event has offered in previous years with a guarantee of at least three F1 world champions all signed up to tackle the unique parallel head to head format of the event.

The champions in question are no less than reigning double world champion Sebastian Vettel and former seven time champ Michael Schumacher who will both defend 'Team Germany's' ROC Nations Cup crown on the Saturday prior to the main event.

2009 world champion Jenson Button will also grace the arena with his presence.

Motorsports usual suspects associated with the ROC such as record Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen, former grand prix driver and current BBC F1 pundit David Coulthard, WRC superstar Sebastian Ogier along with fan favourite and ten times X–Games gold medallist Travis Pastrana among others all look set to electrify the Esprit Arena with their range of attributes.

As ever the weekend will run under the same format of running the ROC Nations Cup on the Saturday while the 'champions of champions' event will run on the Sunday.

The whole rigmarole begins its broadcast live on Motors TV on Saturday 3 December from 6pm with coverage of the ROC Nations Cup while coverage of the 'champions of champions' event begins from 1pm on Sunday 4 December.

This weekend is must see for any motorsport fan, so it's the perfect excuse to postpone that Christmas shopping for one more week!

Well like richard and millions of others I will be watching , as I have been doing since it has had uk tv coverage It’s a good little event meant to be a sort of end of term party and has done a good job of that over the years And it is also immensely refreshing to see an event that hasn’t sold its soul to the highest bidder So as Richard said don’t watch it if you don’t want to
