Sutil, Ferrari link downplayed

Talk of a move to Ferrari for Adrian Sutil is downplayed
Adrian Sutil's manager Manfred Zimmermann has denied that the German is in talks with Ferrari about possibly replacing Felipe Massa for the 2013 F1 season.

Sutil is currently without a drive after leaving Force India, although he has been widely tipped to replace Rubens Barrichello at Williams for the new campaign.

However, reports had suggested that Sutil was being viewed as a possible replacement for Massa when his deal runs out at the end of next season, with the Brazilian having struggled in recent seasons to replicate the kind of form that saw him finish second in the championship standings back in 2008.

Although he admitted that Ferrari would be a dream for any driver, Zimmermann insisted that Sutil hadn't spoken to the Maranello-based team with options elsewhere if he is to remain on the grid next year.

"We are definitely not in talks with Ferrari," he was quoted by ESPNF1.com. "They are definitely not an option. Of course, it is the dream of every driver and manager.

"There are still options to stay in Formula One and we are negotiating currently. At the moment we can't say anything more."

Formula 3 Euroseries 2005 season results: 1st: Lewis Hamilton - 20 races, 172 points. 2nd: Adrian Sutil - 18 races, 94 points. 3rd: Lucas Di Grassi - 20 races, 68 points. 4th: Sebastien Vettel - 20 races, 67 points. 10th: Paul Di Resta - 19 races, 32 points. Wow, stats can really be misleading. Or maybe Sutil is actually quite a talent?
