Lotus team principal Eric Boullier has expressed his sadness following news that Robert Kubica
has suffered a setback in his attempts to return to F1 after breaking his leg in a domestic accident.
According to reports emanating from Italy, Kubica slipped on ice at his home near Viareggio, breaking the same leg that suffered the brunt of the impact in his rally crash almost a year ago. He will now undergo another operation, this time to insert a metal screw just above his right ankle and will have to spend at least four weeks in plaster before beginning his rehabilitation [for more details - click here
“Robert has shown fantastic courage and determination in his rehabilitation following the accident last year, and it is sad to hear that he has suffered this setback,” Boullier told the official Lotus Renault
