About the Race of Champions 2011 DVD

“The elite of world motorsport gathered in Germany for the incredible spectacle of The Race Of Champions 2011, and now you can share the action, atmosphere and excitement in this thrill-packed official review.

“More than 65,000 fans filled the Esprit Arena, Düsseldorf, to witness legends and rising stars from Formula One, Rallying, Sportscar, Touring Cars, the X-Games and more do battle around the purpose-built side-by-side race track. Relive highlights from The Nations Cup, as eight teams of two fight for national pride, then The Race Of Champions itself, as 16 of the greatest racers go head-to-head to discover who will be Champion of Champions.

“The DVD is brimming with edge-of-the-seat race action as stars give it their all in a breathtaking procession of powerful cars, including the Audi R8 LMS, Skoda Fabia S2000, Volkswagen Scirocco, KTM X-Bow and, of course, the ROC Car. Plus, there are interviews with the drivers, and a real flavour the unique atmosphere, including appearances by the Red Bull X-Fighters, stunt stars Terry Grant and Chris Pfeiffer, the three-seat Lotus Renault Grand Prix car and the ROC Legends Cup, featuring Stig Blomqvist, Marc Duez, Hans-Joachim Stuck and Heinz-Harald Frentzen.

“The Nations Cup saw the German team, on home soil, chasing an amazing fifth win, while the final of The Race Of Champions would see a veteran line up alongside a newcomer to confirm the Champion of Champions – it's essential viewing for all motorsport fans.

“Drivers: Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel, Jenson Button, Andy Priaulx, Tom Kristensen, Mattias Ekström, David Coulthard, Filipe Albuquerque, Travis Pastrana, Brian Deegan, Sébastien Ogier, Romain Grosjean, Vitaly Petrov, Timo Glock, Timo Scheider, Martin Tomczyk, Jan Kopecký, Juho Hänninen.”

Bonus feature: Behind-the-scenes in the Orange Room, a chance to hear from the stars

Anybody who attended the ROC (Drivers, Teams & Spectators)when it was held in Gran Canaria, must be very sad to see the way this great event has been watered down.
