Caterham shows off CT01

Caterham reveals first official image of the new CT01
The Caterham Racing team has revealed the first image of its 2012 F1 challenger a day ahead of schedule.

The team, formally known as Team Lotus, was due to reveal the CT01 on the front cover of F1 Racing magazine on Thursday, but then elected to release a teaser shot when subscribers to the publication received their copy on Wednesday morning.

That led to a number of readers posting shots of the car from the magazine onto social networks, with the team that revealing the image pictured through its own Twitter account.

More images and information will be release by the team as planned on Thursday.

The CT01 is due to make its debut on track in the first pre-season test at Jerez next month, while the team has named Heikki Kovalainen and Jarno Trulli as driver for a third season – although doubts continue to exist about the latter.

I don't think Gascoyne is able to build a quick car. Couldn't do it year after year for Toyota despite the huge budget, couldn't do it for Spyker/Midland/FI so I don't see why he would suddenly be able to do it now for Caterham. His cars always seems conservative and boring.
