Glock positive despite delays

Timo Glock positive that things will improve for Marussia despite car delays
Timo Glock insists he is positive about the upcoming F1 season despite the fact that the Marussia team has run into delays with its programme for the year ahead.

The team confirmed earlier this week that it was to delay the debut of its new MR01 until the third test of pre-season in Barcelona [See separate story HERE] which means the new car will only get the chance to take part in one test before the 2012 season gets underway.

While that means the team will face a lack of track time to iron out any potential issues, Glock said he was hopeful of a 'positive' campaign for the Manor-run team.

"It's a shame we are getting the new car late and therefore only a short preparation is possible," he told DPA. "I am positive about 2012. Of course, our goal is to keep developing progressively."

While Marussia won't debut its new car until the final pre-season test, it will take its 2011 car to the first Barcelona test to give new signing Charles Pic extra time behind the wheel.
