Hamilton quiet on Sutil claims

Lewis Hamilton doesn't respond to comments from Adrian Sutil following his court case
Lewis Hamilton has refused to become embroiled in a war of words with Adrian Sutil after refusing to respond to comments from the Force India driver following his trial in Germany.

Hamilton had said he was unable to attend the hearing in Munich due to commitments with McLaren ahead of the launch of the MP4-27 today in Woking – a hearing which ended with Sutil being given an 18 month suspended sentence and hefty fine for causing grievous bodily harm to Lotus F1 co-owner Eric Lux.

While the pair had been close friends for many years, Sutil hit out at Hamilton for what he felt was a lack of support over the incident, referring to the McLaren driver as a 'coward' and said that Hamilton was 'not a man' [See separate story HERE].

There was little surprise therefore that the comments came up for discussion as the wraps came off the 2012 McLaren challenger at the team's Woking base although the Brit was prevented from answering questions on the topic.

“We've been told that Lewis shouldn't really go there because it [the case] might go under appeal,” a spokesman told Reuters, “so can we move onto the next question.”

Hamilton meanwhile would only reply: “I'll listen to him.”

This is laughable. Seems to me that everyone has almost forgot the very seriousness of Sutils attack against Eric Lux. Not only is he (Sutil) regarded as a role model and expected to be squeaky clean, the incident could have quite easily killed Eric. Almost even more laughable is that it was over a stupid girl. I'm not surprised Lewis was not at court. How can anyone be expected to defend an idiot. And as for Lewis having a new mobile number: Read between the lines Sutil.
